We are seeking an experienced AS400 Technical Lead to join our team in Dubai, UAE. As an AS400 Technical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of AS400 systems and leading a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in AS400 development and a strong understanding of software development life cycles. You should also have excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of AS400 developers to design, develop, and maintain AS400 applications and systems.
2. Oversee the technical aspects of AS400 projects, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, and deployment.
3. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
4. Ensure the quality and performance of AS400 applications through code reviews, testing, and optimization.
5. Monitor and troubleshoot AS400 systems to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
6. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improvement in AS400 development practices.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge in AS400 development.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AS400 systems with other enterprise applications and platforms.
9. Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party solutions to support AS400 development and integration.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in AS400 development.
2. Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, and DB2 on AS400 platform.
3. Experience in leading a team of developers and overseeing AS400 projects.
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Strong understanding of software development life cycles and best practices.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
8. Experience with modernization of AS400 systems and integration with other platforms.
9. Knowledge of web development technologies and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, or PHP, is a plus.
10. Certifications in AS400 development or related fields are desirable.
