Manage procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking any deviations and providing proactive solutions.
Prepare accurate bills of quantity (BOQ) based on project specifications and drawings.
Prepare progress reports, valuations, and financial forecasts for ongoing projects.
Manage variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and cost control.
Provide expert advice on cost-effective construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering their professional growth and development.
Engage in regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least [6] years as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, methods, and regulations.Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset.Professional membership in a relevant industry association is a plus.Demonstrated experience in accurately preparing bills of quantity (BOQ).Experience in in Gulf project such as UAE is preferable.
