Mep manager (construction)

MEP Manager (Construction) Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the MEP aspects of Aqua Bridge Projects from design to completion.
2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop MEP design plans, specifications, and schedules.
3. Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulations related to MEP systems.
4. Oversee the procurement and installation of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other Specialized systems.
5. Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery/ Installation of MEP materials and equipment.
6. Monitor the progress of MEP installations and resolve any technical issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
7. Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality of MEP installations and adherence to design intent and industry standards.
8. Ensure MEP systems are commissioned and tested according to project requirements and Schedule.
9. Collaborate with project stakeholders to address any MEP-related challenges or changes during the construction process.
10. Manage the MEP budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
11. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of MEP activities, including drawings, specifications, reports, and as-built documentation.
12. Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
13. Review and approve Design, material and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation
14. Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed by Project Manager, Project Director, Client, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience as an MEP Manager (Construction) or similar role, with a focus on high-Industrial construction projects – 15 Years (Min 6 + as an MEP Project Manager in MEP contracting companies..
3. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
4. Familiarity with MEP design software and tools, such as Auto CAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
6. Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing MEP teams and subcontractors.
7. Sound understanding of contract management and procurement processes related to MEP systems.
8. Extensive experience in MEP coordination, installation, and commissioning.
9. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues and conflicts.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
11. Familiarity with the construction industry in Middle East and knowledge of local regulations and standards is a plus.
12. Professional certifications, such as LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional), are highly desirable.
