About the job SCAFFOLDING TECHNICIAN

Contract Hire


Offshore - 06:30 to 18:30 (1-hour lunch break), 7 days a week


6 months


Technical Diploma (minimum 3 years) or equivalent.


Scaffolding Inspector Training Certificate with knowledge of scaffold design and calculation.


* Minimum 10 years relevant practical experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector within a live operating plant environment.


* Gulf experience is preferred and considered an advantage.


* Conduct routine checks of erected scaffolding to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with approved specifications and site requirements.


* Perform pre‑use and post‑modification checks of scaffolding structures to ensure continuous safe use at site.


* Identify unsafe conditions and hazards related to scaffolding activities and initiate corrective actions.


* Issue and maintain scaffolding tags / certificates as per site safety procedures.


* Provide basic design input, calculations, and drawings for complex scaffolding requirements at site.


* Support scaffolding activities by ensuring proper erection and dismantling practices are followed.


* Comply with HSEMS and Oil & Gas safety standards applicable to live plant environments.


* Strong knowledge of different types of scaffolds and surface preparation techniques


* Hands‑on experience in erection and dismantling of scaffolding systems.


* Ability to ensure scaffolding safety compliance in live Oil & Gas plant environments


* Basic capability in scaffolding design interpretation and calculations.


* Fair knowledge of spoken and written English for site coordination and reporting.
