About the Role We are seeking an Expert in Honeybee Diseases to lead the development of apiculture health program and reference centre. The role focuses on disease surveillance, diagnostics, research, and AI-driven predictive systems to support pollination sustainability and food security.
Key Responsibilities Establish and lead a regional reference center for honeybee diseases. Develop and implement surveillance and outbreak response programs. Oversee laboratory diagnostics and sample management systems. Lead research programs on honeybee diseases and ecosystem health. Integrate AI and predictive analytics into disease monitoring systems. Engage stakeholders, including authorities, researchers, and beekeepers. Build and lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum Requirements PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Entomology, Apiculture, or related field.8–10 years of experience in honeybee health or related research. Proven leadership experience in laboratory or program management.
Preferred Qualifications Experience establishing or managing reference laboratories. Expertise in surveillance systems and outbreak response. Knowledge of AI or analytics in agriculture or biosecurity.
