Job Details

  1. Emergency Care and First Aid

  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency nursing care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

  • Perform triage and stabilize employees until transfer to an appropriate healthcare facility when required.

  • Activate emergency medical services and coordinate ambulance transfer when necessary.

  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of nursing practice.

  • Participate in site emergency response activities and mass casualty management procedures.

  • Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, including AED, oxygen cylinder, suction unit, emergency medications, and first aid supplies.

  1. Occupational Health Services

  • Deliver occupational health services in accordance with DOH regulations and OSHAD requirements.

  • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work health assessments

  • Assist with health surveillance programs for employees exposed to occupational hazards.

  • Support fitness-for-duty evaluations and work restriction programs.

  • Participate in heat stress prevention and worker wellness programs.

  1. First Aid Clinic Management

  • Manage the daily operation of the on-site clinic and ensure compliance with DOH requirements.

  • Maintain clinic cleanliness, infection prevention, and environmental safety standards.

  • Ensure availability and proper storage of medications and medical consumables.

  • Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.

  • Maintain inventory and arrange timely replenishment of medical supplies and medications.

  1. Documentation and Record Management

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure employee medical records in accordance with DOH standards and applicable privacy regulations.

  • Document all consultations, treatments, incidents, and referrals.

  • Maintain records of occupational injuries, illnesses, lost-time injuries, and first aid cases.

  • Prepare monthly reports on clinic utilization and occupational health indicators.

  • Maintain records required for regulatory inspections and audits.

  1. Incident Reporting and Investigation

  • Participate in reporting and investigation of occupational injuries and illnesses.

  • Assist HSE personnel in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Maintain records of near misses, first aid cases, medical treatment injuries, restricted work cases, and lost-time injuries.

  • Provide medical input during incident investigations.

  1. Infection Prevention and Control

  • Implement infection prevention and control measures within the clinic.

  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with DOH requirements.

  • Maintain sterilization and disinfection procedures.

  • Monitor compliance with hand hygiene and standard precautions.

  1. Compliance with DOH and OSHAD Requirements

  • Practice within the scope defined by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.

  • Maintain a valid DOH Registered Nurse license.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHAD-SF requirements and company HSE procedures.

  • Participate in risk assessments and occupational health hazard identification.

  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.

  • Participate in internal and external audits.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with DOH regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable UAE Federal Laws and DOH standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Essential: the post holder must

    • Holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution in their home country.

    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including recent assignment within an hospital.

    • Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority with all the qualifications and experience these mandates.

    • Minimum of 02 years work experience in Emergency Department.

    • Manage their own professional re-licensure.

    • Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.

    • Be willing to work across departments when necessary.  

    • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)


    DESIRABLE: The post holder should have:

    • Evidenced ability to work as part of an inter-professional team.

    • Organizational and administrative skills with which to use the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation.

    • Be able to communicate effectively in Arabic
