Role: Contracts Attorney (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $100 - $200/hour
Role Overview:We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership and oversee all legal matters for the organization on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership and board members on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing arrangements.• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations, product offerings, and global expansion.• Oversee corporate legal functions, including intellectual property protection, data privacy, and employment law matters.• Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one state.• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on technology, internet, or digital platform industries.• Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.• Experience advising startups or high-growth companies on venture financing, M&A, and strategic partnerships.• Familiarity with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and intellectual property protection strategies.
