Josephine is a waterfront Mediterranean restaurant at Rixos Premium Dubai in JBR, inspired by the sea and the spirit of maritime life. Originating on the shores of Istanbul’s Golden Horn and now charting a course for Dubai, Josephine brings vibrant coastal flavours, fresh seafood and generous sharing dishes to an elegant day-to-night setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf. It is a place where Mediterranean dining, warm hospitality and life by the water come naturally together.

We're launching Josephine, an elevated Mediterranean dining destination at Rixos Premium Dubai, designed to become one of the city's most sought-after culinary experiences. This is not another hotel restaurant; it is a standalone lifestyle concept with its own identity, personality and ambition.

We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Beverage Specialist who can bring energy, creativity and expertise to Josephine's beverage experience. You will play an important role in creating memorable guest moments through personalised recommendations, exceptional product knowledge and confident service.

What You'll Do

• Deliver an engaging and personalised beverage experience throughout every service.
• Provide expert recommendations based on guest preferences, menu selections and the Josephine concept.
• Develop strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, coffees and premium beverage products.
• Support the implementation and continued development of Josephine's beverage programme.
• Ensure beverages are prepared, presented and served according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Work closely with the restaurant, bar and culinary teams to create seamless food and beverage pairings.
• Support beverage tastings, training sessions and ongoing product knowledge development within the team.
• Build strong guest relationships and confidently introduce new products and recommendations.
• Maintain appropriate beverage stock levels while supporting inventory control and minimising wastage.
• Ensure all beverage service complies with UAE regulations, responsible service requirements and Rixos standards.
• Bring personality, storytelling and genuine enthusiasm to every guest interaction.

Who You Are

• Passionate about beverages, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Confident discussing wines, spirits, cocktails and premium beverage products.
• Naturally engaging with the ability to understand guest preferences and make personalised recommendations.
• Commercially aware with a strong understanding of upselling without compromising genuine hospitality.
• Detail-oriented and committed to consistency and presentation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume premium restaurant environment.
• A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
• Someone who believes a great beverage can transform a dining experience.

• Previous experience as a Beverage Specialist, Sommelier, Head Bartender, Senior Bartender or similar role within a premium restaurant, luxury hotel, beach club or lifestyle dining concept.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and beverage service.
• Wine or beverage-related certification such as WSET is highly desirable.
• Experience within Mediterranean or seafood-led restaurant concepts is an advantage.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
• Excellent grooming and professional presentation.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous experience in Dubai or the UAE is desirable.
