Role Description The Head of Development is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees research and development activities, guiding the creation and improvement of automotive solutions, internal systems, and customer-focused services. The Head of Development leads cross-functional project teams, defines development roadmaps, and ensures that initiatives align with business goals and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating R&D efforts, managing project timelines and budgets, evaluating new technologies, and collaborating with stakeholders in engineering, operations, and senior management. The role also involves mentoring team members, setting performance objectives, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess performance, and support evidence-based decision-making. Candidates should possess solid Team Management and Team Leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration. Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D) to drive innovation in automotive products, processes, and services. Candidates should possess proven Project Management skills to plan, execute, and deliver development projects on time and within scope. Relevant experience in the automotive or mobility sector, particularly in technical, engineering, or product development environments. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site collaboration in Abu Dhabi with remote work responsibilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
