Role Description The Plumber Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The technician installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, valves, and pumps in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Daily tasks include troubleshooting leaks and blockages, reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work complies with local codes and safety regulations. The role also involves coordinating with supervisors and other trades, documenting completed work, and responding to urgent service calls as needed. The technician is expected to use appropriate tools and equipment safely, maintain a clean work area, and uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance for residential or commercial buildings. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and plumbing schematics. Knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices. Competence in using common plumbing tools and equipment, and performing basic measurements and calculations. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary site team. Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, working at heights, and in confined spaces, while following safety procedures. Prior experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or building services in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage. Relevant technical certification or vocational training in plumbing or mechanical trades is preferred.
