Technopole Industries L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to lead daily machine shop operations for street lighting pole fabrication. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for output, dimensional accuracy, and team discipline on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise machine shop operations: plasma cutting, laser cutting, taper cutting, plate bending, and seam welding.
Meet daily/weekly output targets aligned to production schedules and delivery commitments.
Interpret fabrication drawings, cut sheets, and dimensional specs across pole profiles.
Monitor MS plate/coil material utilization, minimize scrap, and maintain consumption logs.
Coordinate with Production Planning, QC, Procurement, and Assembly for workflow continuity.
Supervise setup, operation, and basic maintenance of machines.
Verify dimensional accuracy during different stages of production
Prepare daily production reports, machine utilization logs, and shift handover notes.
Optimize job sequencing and machine loading to eliminate idle time and maximize throughput per shift.
Enforce HSE standards, safe work practices, and PPE compliance.
Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time per pole and improve first-pass dimensional acceptance rate.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/production/industrial engineering.
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in production operations within structural steel/pole/pipe fabrication or similar heavy fabrication industry.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of MS plate properties, bending allowances, and forming tolerances for structural pole profiles.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, cut plans, and dimensional tolerances.
Machine operation and basic troubleshooting competency.
