WE ARE HIRING | GENERAL MANAGER – TRANSFORMER INSULATION FACTORY???? Final Location: To Be Decided (TBD) ???????? Initial Training & Induction: Ras Al Khaimah, UAEWe are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to take full responsibility for the setup, commissioning and operation of a new transformer insulation manufacturing facility. This is a greenfield leadership role. The selected GM will be expected to build the factory organization from the ground up, recruit and develop his/her own core team, establish systems and processes, and take full ownership of operational performance. The selected candidate will initially spend a few weeks at our existing manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE for technical familiarization, process training and operational alignment. Key Responsibilities• Lead the complete factory setup, commissioning and start-up • Recruit, build and lead the factory management, engineering, production and quality teams • Develop the organizational structure and manpower plan • Establish production processes, SOPs, KPIs and quality systems • Take overall responsibility for production, quality, productivity, cost and on-time delivery • Oversee manufacturing of transformer insulation components, including machined and moulded components • Lead Production, Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Maintenance, Procurement and Stores • Manage machinery installation, tooling, trials and process development • Develop suppliers and support procurement of machinery, tooling and raw materials • Drive capacity expansion, automation, productivity improvement and cost reduction • Coordinate with transformer manufacturers on drawings, specifications, prototypes and new product development • Establish manufacturing and quality standards suitable for HV/EHV transformer applications • Take responsibility for factory budgets, operational targets and overall performance Candidate Profile• Engineering degree preferred • 10–15+ years of relevant industry experience, with significant factory leadership responsibility • Strong preference for candidates from the transformer insulation, transformer components or power transformer manufacturing industry • Good technical knowledge of pressboard processing, laminated wood, winding kits, angle rings, step blocks, machined insulation and related transformer insulation components • Experience with moulded insulation components will be an advantage • Greenfield factory setup / expansion experience strongly preferred • Proven ability to recruit, develop and lead manufacturing teams • Strong understanding of production, quality, costing, procurement and factory management • Commercially minded, hands-on and capable of operating with a high degree of independence • Willing to relocate based on the final location of the manufacturing facility We are looking for someone who can build the operation — not simply manage an existing factory.????
