Role Description The Accountant role at Duraplastix is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, supporting monthly and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies. The Accountant will also prepare reports for management, coordinate with internal teams and external auditors, and help improve financial workflows and controls to support efficient business operations.

Qualifications

• Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash management in a corporate or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance standards applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret financial data for decision-making.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors, is beneficial.
