We are hiring a Program Manager reporting to EMEA Business Program Management Lead. This person will provide analytics and deep insights into the data collected from the operation of the EMEA CSE business. They will be responsible for the creative visualization of that data highlighting insight and providing business dashboards that will enable the business to make informed decisions. They should possess a combination of business and technical skills to lead the evolution and development our internal reporting and analytics infrastructure. This is a technical PM role with operational accountability. Must show proven business understanding. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and cross team collaboration skills combined with a solid understanding of Microsoft cloud offerings.
In this role, you would be responsible for:
Defining and prioritizing business requirements for internal CSE EMEA reporting tools by working across stakeholders in our Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB), One Commercial Partner (OCP), Cloud & Enterprise organizations and balancing those requirements against the needs of CSE EMEA regional team.
Managing and participating in development sprints for rapidly adding new capabilities to our internal reporting tools. This includes maintaining and managing our prioritized development backlog in VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services) for an internal toolset that spans VSTS, SSIS ETL jobs, and Power BI dashboards based on a SSAS tabular cube.
Identification/Implementation of new tools that enhance our business understanding and align to existing strategy.
Participating in the WW CSE Tools V-Team, including contributing to hacks that accelerate delivery of new functionality and create an opportunity for team members to learn from the amazing technical talent on other CSE teams
Manage a process to ensure data integrity and resolve data entry issues in VSTS
Leverage training from other regions and CSE HQ as well as conduct CSE EMEA tools/reporting training sessions
Improve business processes for weekly pipeline reviews, monthly business updates and quarterly business reviews (including creating Power BI dashboards to allocate engineering resources and track KPIs)
In general, making the CSE team a showcase for how to use Microsoft cloud services to make smarter decisions, allocate resources, track results, and generally run a lean, agile business with minimal overhead
Key Skills, Experiences and Education Required:
At least 5 years’ experience as a technical program manager or project manager in a complex environment working with a technical team
Demonstrated skills using data and analytics to make smarter business decisions
Creative communications and cross-org leadership skills
The ability to bring clarity and drive execution in an environment with multiple stakeholders who often have different priorities
Foundational knowledge of Microsoft’s cloud-based team development and data offerings, especially VSTS, Power BI, SQL Database, and SQL Data Warehouse
Familiarity with internal datasets and tools like Starlight, DataMall and MSX preferred
A passion for technology and an insatiable appetite to learn by participating in hackfests, CSE’s sync weeks, Ready, and other technical learning opportunities.
Strong business acumen and adaptability to partner with the CSE EMEA LT on innovative solutions to constantly changing business requirements
Fluency in English and demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and effectively with other executives, employees, partners, and communities.
