The Channel Executive Local Device Partners is critical to supporting partners who manufacture and sell enough units to qualify for the Named Account relationship with Microsoft. The role works with the Named Account to remain strong Microsoft Partners and to build and fill a full range of highly competitive Windows devices. The support provided by the Named Partner Account Manager includes brand recognition, vertical market research insights, integration with Original Design Manufacturers marketing expertise, business operations insight, and, most importantly, the value added with design of products utilizing Microsoft products.
Deliver Device Unit Revenue, and BOS targets by building a pipeline of sales opportunities with the Partner
Deliver Windows device design wins.
Engender partner loyalty and preference for Microsoft products by selling the Microsoft value proposition
Guide Named account through Design In, Sell in and Sell through phases of product lifecycle
Establish and execute conditions of satisfaction with Partner contacts to drive positive Customer Partner Experience
Ensure that all Microsoft Licensing agreements are up to date and signed on time
Leverage Microsoft contacts in other divisions to create and close sales opportunities
Target and groom system builder prospects for conversion to Named Partners
Build a high performing Microsoft account virtual team across Sales/Marketing/Operations/Engineering
Research, localize and execute applicable best practices to increase sales impact with partner
Stay informed on current economic events and political events that may affect partner’s supply chain, market plans or competitive position.
Keep expertise in verticals and niches current to spot opportunities for partner’s one-three-five years out.
Develop and maintain knowledge of current and future Microsoft products and how they are relevant to partner’s business goals
Promote partners’ devices and business goals within Microsoft to maintain visibility and top of mind
Execute compliant business practices
Leverage Microsoft programs to drive value for partner
5-8 years of related experience
5+ years experience in a relevant industry
Excellent grasp of business fundamentals, channel development, and competitive pressures in the current environment
Proven adeptness to collaborate and work effectively with internal and external teams
Proven experience of partner management and C-suite level engagement
Competence in strategy development, planning, and customer relationships
Good relationship skills and customer service expertise
Ability to leverage Microsoft products and services to help customers exploit complex business and market opportunities
Strong industry knowledge, including: hardware standards (processors, displays, storage, and networking), operating systems, PC software, server, distribution and sales channels
Must have excellent presentation and demonstration skills in front of groups of all sizes and levels and a successful track record of sales and negotiation skills
