Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
The Director of Entertainment will play an integral role in developing a long-term sustainable approach to activating the Passion Point of Music at Barasti and to the property level when required. Having a greater understanding of the local music scene, this role will oversee and drive energy behind music at our properties on a day-to-day basis. High-level responsibilities will include managing music programming (such as DJ sourcing and scheduling), assisting with Hotel’s Happenings planning, and being the face and voice of the hotel’s passion for music.
To move into this position, you shouldhave
Excellentnetworking and communications skills
Excellentand in-depth knowledge of the local music scene
Wellorganized and structured work based planning essential.
Quarterlyand yearly planning of events of scale, concepts and activations
Connectionsand strong network with local tastemakers in the music community
Expert incommunicating through all relevant social media mediums, including Facebook,Instagram, and Twitter and have substantial following
Must beable to DJ Versatile background and experience that extend beyond DJ’ing (e.g.,entertainment, PR, marketing)
Excellenttalent negotiation skills and experience
NOCapplication knowledge and follow up
Responsiblefor all licensing related to music and events, including local governmentdepartments.
Experiencein event-planning and promotions essential
MusicProducer/Production experience preferred
Conceptcreation for complex venues, from pre planning to execution and post conceptanalysis.
A genuinepersonal interest in lifestyle events and information that is close to thehotel’s brands core values and brand positioning (beyond solely music)
Excellentinterpersonal and problem resolution skills with an outgoing personality andability to work as part of a team
Excellentorganizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks at once and follow-upwhenever needed
Basiccomputer skills, preferably including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel,and PowerPoint (Photoshop/InDesign a plus)
