The main responsibilities of this role include:<br/>Leading Jumeirah&rsquo;s Learning and Development strategy, in collaboration with the Chief HR Officer and the business, in order to attract, retain and develop talented employees, thus building the right workforce to achieve the Group&rsquo;s strategic objectives.<br/>Leading the continuous group-wide analysis of training needs in order to ensure the design and delivery of fit-for-purpose learning and development programs at all organizational levels and shape the workforce of the future.<br/>The development of leadership programs, including coaching and mentoring, to ensure the identification of high performers and the development of a strong leadership pipeline to fuel the Group&rsquo;s growth in close collaboration with the Talent function.<br/>Tailoring talent development and leadership initiatives to support national development, when required and in close collaboration with the Director of National Development, to build a critical mass of high-caliber national talent and support the achievement of nationalization targets.<br/>Leading the review, evaluation and reporting of training program effectiveness, and analyzing the business&rsquo;s feedback to ensure the continuous alignment of L&amp;D practices with the business&rsquo;s needs while striving for cost optimization.<br/>Contributing to the preparation of the Learning and Development budget and monitoring the financial performance of a given area versus the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.<br/>Recommending improvements to policy and managing the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that Jumeirah Group delivers world class services, excellence, and innovation.<br/>Motivating L&amp;D colleagues both in Group and Corporate as well as Hotel based training teams to identify opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.<br/>Ensuring an innovative approach to all initiatives, adopting global best practices using forward thinking technology. About You:<br/>The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:<br/>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.<br/>Ideally a Master&rsquo;s Degree or MBA in a relevant discipline.<br/>8 to 10 years of L&amp;D experience, preferably with an international luxury hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.<br/>Experience of working in an international capacity and a solid understanding of cultural and market differences within the relevant regions.<br/>Strong understanding of core hotelier operations and of the luxury hospitality industry.<br/>Strong understanding of the human resources and legal considerations related to managing and/ or developing assets within different regions.<br/>Outstanding inter-personal skills and an ability to connect with people at all levels to drive successful relationships
