Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for quilting and crafting, coupled with strong leadership skills and a customer-centric approach. As the Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and maintaining a tidy and welcoming store environment.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and organizing products to ensure optimal stock levels and assortment.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of 8-9 employees to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Build strong relationships with customers, offering personalized assistance, product recommendations, and expert advice.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and techniques to effectively advise customers and enhance the shopping experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the owner and other stakeholders to develop marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to attract new customers and engage the quilting community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a quilting or crafting environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field (Masters Degree preferred).

- Passion for quilting and a strong understanding of quilting fabrics, tools, and techniques would be appreciated.
