ROLE SUMMARY:

This role involves handling daily administrative tasks and collaborating with brands to execute retail marketing calendars, promotions, and campaigns in-store and online. Responsibilities also include tracking campaign performance, managing budgets, and supporting e-commerce initiatives, demonstrating a versatile skill set within the marketing domain.


FUNCTIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the Marketing department’s activities
  • Assist in building and executing the Retail Marketing Calendar for each fascia across Brand, Generic, Promotions, Sale, both in store and online
  • Support Marketing team in the delivery of generic / bespoke marketing campaigns and promotions in store and online
  • Work closely with Brands in order to help formalize and activate the Retail Marketing Calendar for each fascia and launch consistently with impact
  • Work closely with Retail Marketing Executive and e-Commerce Coordinator in the delivery and execution of Brand marketing campaigns in store and online
  • Track campaigns and activations in order to produce reports showcasing ROI to share with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with product merchandising teams to track the intake of product in order to effectively launch on time
  • Assist in the organizing of promotional events and activations as well as traditional or digital campaigns in addition to attending them to facilitate their success
  • Support e-Commerce coordinator on digital projects such as website management, SEO Content & online advertising ad copies.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and create accurate, engaging e-commerce product descriptions, including crafting descriptions from scratch when necessary, in both English and Arabic.
  • Familiar with Shopify e-commerce platform, with knowledge of basic product creation and management practices to support online merchandising team when necessary.
  • Support in the distribution of social media content and scheduling to the relevant stakeholders
  • Budget management / tracking

Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Assistant (2 years min)
  • Basic understanding of Copywriting concepts and practices
  • Able to work to deadlines and multi-task
  • Well organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Knowledge and passion for Sport
  • Strong communication and people skilll
  • Team player
  • Proficient in MS Office & Google Doc applications; in particular Excel & PowerPoint or equivalent
  • Digital experience desirable
  • University degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Proficiency in Arabic desirable
