MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To oversee flight operations and aeronautical safety while managing regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to GCAA Safety and Compliance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages all aspects of aeronautical safety and regulatory compliance matters, from the initial investigation and reporting, through to completion.
- Liaises with subject matter expert pilots to identify safety trends in flight operations and implement measures to mitigate hazards.
- Advises the head of the Flight Operations department of any potential issues that may impact the safety of flight operations.
- Provides expert technical guidance to enhance safety and regulatory compliance in Air Traffic Management (ATM) by identifying trends and hazards within the network air traffic environment.
- Manages and administers the Flight Operations Safety Action Group
- Documents and delivers analyses of flight operations and ATM safety during safety meetings such as the Flight Ops Safety Action Group.
- Develops and manages relevant Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs), ensuring the fulfilment of SPI benchmarks.
- Applies ATM expertise to assist in the effective and efficient management of ATC disruption within flydubai, safeguarding On-Time Performance (OTP).
- Communicates potential ATM issues that may affect ‘Day of Ops’.
- Liaises closely with flydubai Safety Department to ensure accurate and efficient handling of all flight operations safety issues.
- Conducts outstation ATM inspections throughout the flydubai network and provides detailed assessment reports to the Senior Management.
- Conducts post-incident aeronautical assessments when required and validates the effectiveness of corrective and preventative measures in place.
- Coordinates with the flydubai safety department to promote flight operations safety, including innovative promotions to enhance engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitors existing and forthcoming flight operations and aeronautical regulations to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant matters.
- Serves as the focal point for Air Traffic Management (ATM) with local and national Air Traffic Services Units (ATSUs), Dubai Airports (DA) AOCC, and relevant DA Working Groups to optimize operational efficiency, especially during disruption recovery.
- Manages the Flight Operations and Flight Operations Technical Quality Control Programs.
- Represent the department and flydubai as required at relevant aeronautical focused meetings, events, and conferences.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum Education Level
· Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
Education Specific Requirement (if applicable)
· ATCO experience / auditor qualification would be an advantage
Languages
· Fluent in English with Arabic/Russian/Persian language skills an advantage

Professional Experience
· Previous Flight Operations or Aeronautical Services experience + airline or ANSP SMS is required.

ISR REQUIREMENTS
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
