Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand assembly requirements.
2. Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to established procedures.
3. Align and fit components together to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
4. Install motors, pumps, gears, bearings, shafts, and other mechanical parts onto machinery.
5. Perform basic welding, cutting, and grinding operations as required for assembly.
6. Test assembled machinery to verify functionality and performance, making adjustments as necessary.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with assembled machinery, including mechanical malfunctions or misalignments.
8. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
10. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to improve assembly processes and resolve technical challenges.

Skills

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical assembly is preferred.
2. Proven experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in assembly.
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
