Overview and Responsibilities:

The WHS Contract Risk Manager will report directly to the Sr WHS Leader Risk Safety for AMET/APAC/LATAM(AAL), and have the primary role to oversee all AAL sites execution of the Avetta Prequalification system. In this role, they will be the primary liaison to Avetta, Procurement, AAL WHS, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, RME, Legal, Loss Prevention, and other stakeholders on the successful execution of the Avetta prequalification process. Specifically, they will work on establishing Amazon WHS requirements for contractors through Avetta. Partner with Avetta on interface enhancements on the software, and develop and execute a detailed implementation plan for large vendors and smaller vendors at the network and site level.




Sr. Manager, WHS CRM AMET, APAC, & LATAM Responsibilities:


The Sr. Manager, WHS CRM AMET, APAC, & LATAM role is a unique, exciting opportunity that will make a large impact on the health and safety of Amazon contractors who perform various services at Amazon. The role stationed in Dubai, UAE, will have primary responsibility to provide direct safety partnership and contractor on-site program management responsibilities for the AMET, APAC, & LATAM countries. This region includes Australia, India, Japan, Singapore (APAC), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Mexico, Turkey and South America (LATAM). This role’s primary responsibilities will be establishing stakeholder partnerships with RME, WHS, Operations, Procurement, Ops Engineering, WW Engineering, Ops Construction, R&D, Risk, Legal, and Assessment in the execution of the Contractor Risk safety programs. This role will be an individual contributor role with a large responsibility to influence senior leaders in International Operations, overseeing both high risk program management and in field execution in Contract Risk Management.

· Develop a deep working relationship and partnership with Procurement, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Research & Design, RME, Loss Prevention, Legal, and WHS.

· Be responsible for updating, maintaining and assisting the network in the implementation of the Contractor Prequalification process as outlined in the Global WHS Contractor Management Procedure.

· Be responsible for the development and execution of the Amazon Workers Management process from a WHS perspective.

· Become the Workers Management SME and share lessons learned with other regions around the world that are also implementing the same program.

· Establish Contractor Workers Management training requirements for stakeholders at the site and network levels.

· Be responsible for the development and execution of the Amazon Contractor Prequalification process from a WHS perspective in all business units.

· Establish Contractor Prequalification training requirements for stakeholders at the site and network levels.

· Be Amazon’s Liaison from a WHS perspective for Contractor Outreach and communications.

· Establish and manage Amazon’s Contractor induction process where there is no local WHS, Procurement or Security.

· Establish a check-in/check-out process using Contractor Prequalification data with direct partnership with Loss Prevention, WHS, Operations, and Security.

· Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Contractor Prequalification to respond to network and external contractor questions.

· Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) the network can use to measure Contractor Prequalification implementation performance at the network and site levels.

· Manage Amazon’s Contractor Prequalification field safety audits compared to prequalification submissions.

· Support the WW WHS Compliance and Governance team in audit expectations and procedure clarifications related to Contractor Management.

· Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required

Skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
