Business Manager - Education

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to oversee the setup of a European University branch campus in the UAE (either Dubai or Ras Al Khaimah) and ensure its successful operation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying the most suitable location, liaising with accrediting bodies, coordinating between the home university and the UAE branch, and establishing operational processes.


This is a multifaceted role requiring expertise in higher education, project management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. Location Assessment & Feasibility

• Evaluate and compare potential locations (Dubai vs. Ras Al Khaimah) for setting up the university.

• Conduct feasibility studies, including market demand and operational viability.

2. Accreditation & Legal Compliance

• Liaise with UAE accrediting bodies (e.g., CAA) to ensure the institution meets all regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate legal and compliance approvals necessary to establish the campus.

3. Coordination with the European University

• Act as a bridge between the European home university and the UAE campus.

• Facilitate the implementation of the home university’s academic programs.

4. Operational Setup

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the university’s operations.

• Recruit and onboard local staff in collaboration with HR.

• Establish key departments (Admissions, Academic Affairs, Finance, etc.).

5. Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the university.

• Build relationships with local stakeholders, including government bodies and industry partners.

6. Project Management

• Oversee the project timeline, ensuring milestones are met.

• Manage budgets and resources effectively.

7. Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with both UAE and European academic standards.

• Monitor and evaluate operational processes for continuous improvement.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Completion of location feasibility study and recommendation within 3 months.

• Approval of accreditation and compliance requirements within the project timeline.

• Successful setup of key operational departments within the first year.

• Implementation of marketing activities that generate leads for the first academic year.

• Timely coordination and alignment with the European university for program rollout.

• Maintaining operational and academic compliance with UAE standards.

• Stakeholder satisfaction and positive engagement feedback.


Skills

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or related fields.

• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in higher education management or project management, with prior involvement in branch campus setups preferred.

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of UAE’s higher education regulatory framework.

• Project management expertise with proficiency in tools like MS Project or similar.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

• Strategic thinking with a focus on results and efficiency.


Salary Range

• AED 10,000 – AED 14,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications).
