KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conduct maintenance work up to and including 3 rd level which includes overhaul of complete piece of equipment involving changing of units, modules and components up to 4 th level on some systems.
• Install, connect, test and line up IT equipment in predominantly land based locations and also offshore. Determine the best position of IT equipment and install it in an optimum manner.
• Check whether test and results measurement are within specifications. Take corrective action such are re-tuning, re-wiring, repair damaged cables and replacing faulty components etc.
• Remove IT equipment from one location and reinstall in other locations in accordance with users’
• requirement or manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Undertake detailed and complex test and repair work in the laboratory using a variety of tools and sophisticated test equipment including re-tuning of equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Investigate causes of defective operation in systems and equipment, recommend modifications to equipment or operational conditions and discuss recommendations with direct supervisor.
• Follow-up on the work activities of vendor’s personnel to ensure that maintenance, commissioning and testing work is carried out in accordance with specifications and agreements; presents periodic verbal or written reports on such activities to direct supervisor.
• Participate, in conjunction with his supervisor, in the continuous review of maintenance procedures and recommend appropriate amendments.
