Guildhall is currently supporting one of the leading international construction and infrastructure companies in their search for an experienced QA/QC Civil Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The company is involved in large-scale infrastructure, civil, and road development projects across the UAE and the wider region.
The QA/QC Civil Engineer will supervise the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) department and establish a Project Quality Management Program. This role ensures all project activities meet quality requirements, international standards, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Program in coordination with the Project Management Team.
• Lead and monitor the site-based QA/QC plans, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
Provide technical supervision and support to site audit and inspection teams.
• Maintain proper documentation and flow of information among contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Identify and manage quality-related issues that could affect contractual obligations or operational performance.
• Oversee the Quality Control processes to ensure they reflect both company and client standards.
• Report and document non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Participate in project and site coordination meetings, offering ongoing support to field teams.
• Lead the preparation and review of inspection and testing plans, materials approvals, and handover documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in quality control.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 12–15 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC and quality management within major international construction projects.
• Certification: Must be DMT Licensed Engineer in Abu Dhabi/Engineering Classification in Abu Dhabi as a “Specialized Engineer.”
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of international design codes, quality control processes, and regulatory standards.
• Skilled in Quality Management Information Systems (QMIS) and project documentation control.
• Experience with inspection, testing, and compliance verification in large civil or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment.
