Role Overview:This role involves providing specialized financial expertise to support a technology platform’s microtasking operations. The position requires oversight of financial data processing, compliance checks, and transaction validation in an AI-driven gig economy environment. Accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards are critical to maintaining platform integrity.
Key Responsibilities:• Perform reconciliation of financial transactions across multiple payment gateways and third-party processors.• Validate and process microtask payments to global freelancers, ensuring compliance with regional tax and labor regulations.• Analyze discrepancies in financial records and resolve issues within established turnaround times.• Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for audit and compliance review.• Monitor platform fee structures and recommend adjustments to optimize revenue while maintaining competitive pricing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or payment processing within gig economy platforms or digital marketplaces.• Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems, or payment reconciliation tools.• Strong understanding of international tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and freelancer tax compliance.• Experience with blockchain or cryptocurrency-based transactions is a plus.• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment with strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
