Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Specialist role based in Dubai. The MEP Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for interior fit-out projects across commercial, hospitality, residential, and public sectors. Daily tasks include reviewing design drawings, preparing MEP shop drawings and coordination layouts, and ensuring integration of MEP systems with architectural and interior design requirements. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring installation works, verifying compliance with local codes and standards, and resolving technical issues with project teams and subcontractors. The MEP Specialist will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers, support approvals with relevant authorities, and contribute to project planning, quality control, and handover documentation.
Qualifications Strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including MEP Coordination for interior fit-out projects. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for MEP design, clash detection, and coordination with architectural and structural disciplines. Solid knowledge of Plumbing and Plumbing Design, including sizing, routing, materials selection, and compliance with local codes and regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited institution. Previous experience as an MEP engineer/specialist in fit-out or construction projects in the UAE or GCC is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Dubai authorities’ standards and approval processes (e.g., DEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality) is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and coordination layouts; strong attention to detail and quality. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment. Strong problem-solving, site supervision, and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality targets. Ability to work at site.
