Job Purpose:Lead strategic risk management, operational governance, sustainability oversight, data-drivenanalysis, and compliance monitoring to strengthen public bus operations, enhance service excellence,and ensure alignment with institutional standards, safety frameworks, and approved departmentalstrategies.
Roles & Accountabilities:Strategy• Monitor ERM performance, analyze results, and update the departmental risk plan to meetrisk index targets and adapt to operational or environmental changes.• Develop and implement advanced risk management methodologies using market researchand international best practices.• Review existing strategies, revise them as needed, and develop new strategies throughbenchmarking and case studies.• Leverage digitization and artificial intelligence concepts to support and advance the publicbus operations strategy.• Ensure all departmental activities comply with operational laws, regulations, and approvedinstitutional standards.• Apply green economy governance by monitoring environmental sustainability initiatives andensuring alignment with green economy strategies and RTA standards.
Operations• Coordinate internal and external audits, oversee audit report preparation, and ensurecorrective actions are implemented.• Ensure implementation of the safety and environmental management system (RSEMS) andverify compliance with safety and sustainability goals.• Conduct electronic audits (e-audit) based on asset management and ISO standards to drivecompliance and operational efficiency.• Follow up on recommendations issued by the Public Transport Safety Committee and publichealth authorities to strengthen safety and preventive measures.• Monitor and manage large databases to conduct data analysis and generate strategic insightsfor improving operational decisions.• Periodically analyze bus service delivery processes and develop procedures to improveefficiency and performance with Customer Happiness and central departments.• Follow up on corrective actions, improvement initiatives, and efficiency enhancements acrossbus service operations.• Ensure continuous compliance with international standards and service excellence guidelinesin bus operations.• Conduct routine field visits to buses and facilities to ensure compliance with approved servicequality standards.
Product / Process Improvement• Measure the efficiency and effectiveness of bus service operations and submit periodicperformance reports to support strategic decision-making.• Review training needs for station employees and implement awareness and developmentworkshops on bus service excellence standards.• Follow up on SLA compliance and ensure timely closure of bus user complaints incoordination with concerned departments.• Propose creative solutions, new policies, and strengthened procedures to enhanceoperational excellence.
Physical Working Conditions• Conduct occasional on-site field visits to buses, facilities, and operational areas as part ofcompliance and service quality verification.
Education:Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Risk Management.
Experience:9+ years in case of Master's degree (11+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree).
Required Nationality: UAE National Only.
