Role Description The Financial Crime Compliance Manager will oversee the design and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent, detect, and report financial crime within Plata en mano. This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, monitoring transactions and customer activities, reviewing alerts and escalations, and ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements. The role will also involve drafting and updating compliance documentation, supporting internal and external audits, delivering training to team members, and collaborating with operations, finance, and legal stakeholders to address compliance issues and remedial actions. The manager will prepare regular reports for senior leadership, recommend enhancements to controls and systems, and help foster a strong compliance culture across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to review complex data, identify patterns, and evaluate financial crime risks. Knowledge of finance and financial services, particularly in areas relevant to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and sanctions compliance. Background in accounting and familiarity with financial records, reconciliations, and control environments. Experience in auditing or assurance, including testing controls, documenting findings, and recommending improvements. Understanding of regional and international regulatory frameworks related to financial crime compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, policies, and training materials. Proven ability to work independently, manage part-time hybrid schedules, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, law, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance, AML, or risk management are an advantage.
