*Job Summary*

We are hiring a *Design Engineer* for a leading automotive company in Dubai.

Candidate must have *strong hands-on experience in Solid Works and 2D CAD*, specifically in *Sheet Metal Design* for automotive components, tools, jigs & fixtures.

Manufacturing background preferred – you should understand how designs translate to shop floor production.

*Key Responsibilities*

Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using *Solid Works & Auto CAD* for automotive sheet metal parts, assemblies, and tooling *Design sheet metal components, jigs, fixtures, and press tools* for production and quality checking Create BOM, GD&T drawings, and technical documentation as per automotive standards Perform flat pattern development, bend allowance calculation, and DFM for sheet metal parts Coordinate with manufacturing, tooling, and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable Support prototype development, testing, and design modifications based on shop floor feedback Maintain design data, revision control, and engineering change notes Work closely with suppliers and vendors for tooling and component sourcing Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and client specifications

*Required Qualifications*

*B. E. / http://B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering* *2-4 years of hands-on experience in CAD design for automotive components with Sheet Metal focus* *Advanced proficiency in Solid Works*: Part modeling, Assembly, *Sheet Metal*, Surface, Drawings Knowledge of *Auto CAD 2D drafting* Understanding of manufacturing processes: *Sheet Metal, Laser Cutting, Press Brake, Welding, Machining* Experience with *GD&T, tolerance stack-up*, and ISO automotive standards preferred Candidates with *direct manufacturing/shop floor background in sheet metal* will be preferred

*Preferred Skills*

Exposure to *automotive sheet metal jigs/fixtures, body parts, brackets, enclosures* Knowledge of PDM/PLM software UAE/GCC experience is an advantage Note:* Candidates with Sheet Metal Design experience in Automotive Industry is Mandatory
