Role Description The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all products and processes meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The role oversees quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the manufacturing process, with a focus on additive manufacturing (3D printing), continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable standards
Responsibilities Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards). Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and quality improvement initiatives. Develop quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing methods for all production processes. Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections. Ensure printed products meet engineering drawings, specifications, dimensional requirements, and customer expectations. Lead investigations into non-conforming products, customer complaints, and internal quality issues using structured root cause analysis. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness. Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external certification and customer audits. Monitor production quality trends and recommend improvements to reduce defects, scrap, and rework. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Design, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. Review and approve quality documentation, inspection reports, and production records. Develop supplier quality requirements and participate in supplier evaluations and performance reviews. Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment. Lead and develop the Quality team through coaching, training, and performance management. Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and compliance throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management within a manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role. Experience in additive manufacturing (3D printing) or advanced manufacturing is highly preferred. Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 is preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent quality certification is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements.• Excellent understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles.• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality inspection techniques.• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and dimensional tolerances.• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.• Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Physical Requirements• Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments.• Capable of walking the production floor and conducting inspections for extended periods.• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in production areas.
Working Conditions• Based primarily within the manufacturing facility with occasional travel to customer, supplier, or project sites.• May be required to work additional hours to support audits, customer inspections, production deadlines, or quality investigations.• Required to comply with all company Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Quality policies.
