Job description

§Leadership in developing strategic objectives, initiatives, programs, performance indicators and targets related to international relations and cultural diplomacy, in line with the Authority's overall strategic plan.


§Preparation and updating of the management strategy in the field of international relations, and ensuring alignment with government directions and Dubai’s cultural vision.


§Supervision of developing policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures related to international relations and diplomatic protocols.


§Identification of strategic international partners and enhancing relations with them through cooperation agreements or memberships in international cultural organizations.


§Supervision of the development and implementation of cultural exchange programs and international participation in coordination with relevant organizational units.


§Supervision of drafting and reviewing international agreements and memoranda of understanding and ensuring their alignment with the Authority’s priorities.


§Ensuring representation of the Authority in related international and regional events and conferences and guiding the relevant teams to participate effectively.


§Directing the preparation of studies and reports related to international relations and cultural exports in coordination with the Research and Studies Department.


§Supervision of evaluating the impact of international relations and cultural diplomacy programs and guiding the development of improvement plans based on performance results.


§Supervision of compliance with protocols and official salutations related to hosting international visitors and representing the Authority externally.


§Directing the preparation of responses to surveys of international organizations related to the Authority’s competencies and ensuring their accuracy.


§Coordination with the relevant government authorities to ensure alignment of the Authority’s international initiatives with Dubai government policies.


§Ensure building and activating a database of international relations, agreements and partner international entities and updating it periodically.


§Supervision of monitoring the implementation of provisions of international agreements and memoranda of understanding and submitting periodic reports on them.


§Leading the management of risks related to international relations in coordination with the concerned department, and developing proactive plans to mitigate them.


§Supervision of developing performance reports for the department and identifying challenges that hinder achievement and guiding teams to address them.


§Leading the department’s contributions to innovation and institutional excellence dossiers in cooperation with relevant entities to support achieving the strategic plan.


§Commitment to applying information security policies and procedures, maintaining data confidentiality, and reporting any violations or breaches of approved policies to the information security officer.


§Commitment to occupational safety and health procedures and policy and the environmental management system policy applied in the Authority.


§Perform other tasks and responsibilities related to the job as assigned.




• Bachelor’s degree in international relations or diplomatic studies or political science or business administration or equivalent from an accredited university


§10 years or more of related work experience


§Ability to prepare consistent recommendations for policies, regulations and laws to empower the sector.
