Carry out certification, inspections, surveillance, and investigation to ensure that their clients are complying with established aviation regulations and standards. Assist the line manager in the process of developing safety standards covering the areas of MRO functions to ensure that all safety standards, processes, and procedures adhere to national regulations and international standards and recommended practices.

Certification/Approval, Audit and Continued Oversight • Ensure that all certification/approval and audit is managed effectively in line with stipulated guidelines and issue relevant certificates/approvals and/or recommend certification/approval, as per the Technical Authority Manual.• Provide inputs in development of the annual oversight (audit and surveillance) program to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Continued improvement towards safety should be considered as much as possible.• Ensure timely and up to date data in Q-Pulse (auditing system) to ensure compliance with GCAA’s roles and functions. • Ensure that investigations (e.g., ROSI) are carried out to determine the cause of incidents and prevent future occurrences and direct coordination with other disciplines (if necessary) Surveillance Programs & Audit• Implement corrective actions raised against the Department during internal surveillance program to ascertain alignment of Safety Affairs standards in line with international standards and continuous improvement.• Support the administration of all auditing activities by external entities of Safety Affairs including ICAO, and IMS to ensure smooth and productive audit.
