Engagement: Paid, part-time advisory role during the initial stage

Experience: Minimum 10 years; ideally 12–20 years in customs, import-export, freight forwarding, trade compliance, or international trade operations

The advisor will:

Validate TRADEVA’s HS-code and landed-cost calculation engines;

Map UAE and international customs procedures;

Define shipping, customs, and document workflows for the application;

Identify customs, logistics, and trade-compliance risks;

Support partnerships with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and customs brokers;

Translate practical trade experience into digital product rules, alerts, and requirements; and

Help prepare TRADEVA for expansion across GCC, Asian, European, and African trade corridors.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience with Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali, UAE free zones, customs valuation, duties and VAT, shipping documents, demurrage and detention, restricted goods, and international trade operations.

For the right person, the role may develop into a full-time leadership position as Head of Trade Operations & Customs Intelligence, subject to mutual fit, funding, performance, and company growth.

Skills

Fluent English; Arabic is highly preferred

10+ years of practical customs, logistics or international-trade experience

Trade compliance, risk identification and problem-solving

UAE customs clearance and import-export procedures

Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali Port, Dubai Trade and Mirsal experience
