ABOUT Building Foundation for Development (BFD):
BFD is a non-governmental, non-profit Yemeni organization established in 2014. As a leading humanitarian-based and development-oriented organization, BFD has extended its coverage to several governorates. Our mission focuses on working in a humane and transparent manner for the vulnerable and affected groups through sustainable development and relief programs of the highest quality. BFD aspires to provide an integrated humanitarian and development response in conflict-affected areas through a professional, neutral, and transparent approach, adhering to the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS).


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Purpose: We seek enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our team across various sectors and departments. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience and contribute to meaningful humanitarian work.

Objectives of the Volunteer Program:

  • Finance
  • HR
  • Programs
  • Supply Chain
  • Administration
  • MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Department

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fresh graduate in a relevant field (Medical Doctor, Civil Engineer, Accountant, Graphic Designer & IT, or any related field)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Passionate about humanitarian work
  • Adaptable and able to work in challenging and diverse environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS): The role holder is required to carry out duties in adherence to the CHS, and the values and principles outlined in BFD's policies such as Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Child Safeguarding, Anti Workplace Harassment, Fiscal Integrity, Anti-Retaliation, and other internal policies and guidelines.
