Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the mechanical aspects of construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities with the contractor, reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team.

• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as built documentation.

• Lead a team of engineers and inspectors; delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure timely completion of inspections and site-related tasks.

• Participate in progress and coordination meetings; contribute technical expertise and ensure resolution of site issues.

• Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented and followed throughout the mechanical works.

• Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operated in accordance with project specifications.

• Maintain clear documentation of site activities, issues, and resolutions.

• Ensure all safety protocols and site regulations are strictly followed.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum 15 years of total experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 5 years in airport projects.

• Proven experience in construction supervision and site-based roles, specifically within the MEP domain

• Previous experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Solid understanding of local and international mechanical codes and standards.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide junior engineers and inspectors. UAE/GCC experience required.

• Familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Aconex for project documentation and correspondence, and

• Proficient AutoCAD skills.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

• Ability to join within 1 month or less.
