The Role We are seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Manager to lead the organization’s aviation safety management system (SMS) and ensure compliance with international aviation safety regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee risk management, safety investigations, compliance audits, and safety performance monitoring while fostering a proactive safety culture across all operational areas.???? Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) frameworks aligned with ICAO, IATA, and national aviation authority regulations• Lead safety risk assessments, hazard identification processes, and mitigation strategies across flight operations, maintenance, and ground services• Conduct incident and accident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action planning• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety occurrences, incident rates, audit findings, compliance levels, hazard reports, and safety training effectiveness• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, airworthiness standards, operational procedures, and internal safety policies• Collaborate with flight operations, engineering, maintenance, airport operations, training departments, regulators, and external aviation authorities• Oversee safety audits, inspections, and continuous monitoring programs to ensure operational adherence to safety standards• Develop and deliver safety training programs, safety awareness campaigns, and risk management workshops across the organization• Manage safety reporting systems, confidential reporting channels, and safety data analysis platforms to support proactive risk management• Evaluate operational procedures, maintenance practices, and flight operations workflows to identify safety risks and improvement opportunities• Prepare safety reports, regulatory submissions, audit documentation, safety dashboards, and executive briefings for senior leadership and aviation authorities• Lead, mentor, and develop safety officers, compliance specialists, investigators, and operational safety teams while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset✅ Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Safety Management, Air Transport Operations, or a related field• Master's degree or professional certifications such as ICAO Safety Management Systems (SMS) training, IATA Aviation Safety Certification, Flight Safety Foundation programs, or equivalent are highly advantageous• 7+ years of experience in aviation safety, flight operations safety, airline safety management, airport safety, or related aviation regulatory roles• 3+ years of experience managing aviation safety teams, SMS programs, or regulatory compliance initiatives preferred• Strong understanding of ICAO standards, aviation regulations, safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and accident investigation procedures• Experience with aviation safety reporting systems, risk management tools, audit platforms, and aviation data analysis software• Familiarity with flight operations, aircraft maintenance processes, airport operations, human factors in aviation safety, and emergency response procedures is essential• Strong leadership, analytical, investigative, and risk management skills• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, report writing, and cross-functional collaboration abilities• Ability to ensure operational safety while balancing regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and organizational objectives• Ability to work independently in remote and operational aviation environments????
