Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control Industry: Construction (Buildings / Infrastructure / Civil Works) Job Summary The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) on construction projects, ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and construction activities comply with project specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and international quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures. • Conduct inspections of civil, architectural, structural, and finishing works to ensure compliance with project specifications. • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site engineers for inspections and approvals. • Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality documentation. • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications. • Identify non-conforming works (NCRs), investigate root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. • Review material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements from a quality perspective. • Ensure all materials delivered to site meet project specifications and approved standards. • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, test results, and quality logs. • Coordinate laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, steel, and asphalt. • Participate in internal and external quality audits. • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements. • Monitor subcontractors' quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. • Attend project meetings related to quality matters. • Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports for project management. • Assist during project handover and close-out by preparing quality dossiers and as-built documentation. Reporting To Project Manager / QA/QC Manager

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Proven experience of 5+ years as a QA/QC Engineer, in the construction industry within the UAE or similar markets. - Strong knowledge of local construction codes, standards, and regulations. - Familiarity with quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and testing procedures. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. - Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project stakeholders. - Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) or construction quality control are desirable. - Proficiency in using quality management software and MS Office applications.
