Job Description – Specialist Cardiologist Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Cardiologist to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi.
The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of cardiovascular diseases while providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care.
The Specialist Cardiologist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with DOH regulations and international clinical standards.
Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
Diagnose and manage conditions including: Coronary artery disease Hypertension Heart failure Cardiac arrhythmias Valvular heart disease Cardiomyopathies Pericardial diseases Congenital heart disease in adults (where applicable) Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including ECG, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, echocardiography, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medical therapies.
Provide emergency cardiac assessment and stabilization for patients presenting with acute cardiovascular conditions.
Refer patients for advanced diagnostic or interventional procedures when clinically indicated.
Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, emergency physicians, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and long-term cardiovascular risk reduction.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the hospital's electronic medical records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, multidisciplinary meetings, and continuing medical education.
Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and mentoring activities where applicable.
Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.

MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Completion of an accredited postgraduate qualification in Cardiology (MD, DM, Arab Board, MRCP with CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, or equivalent recognized by DOH).
Eligibility for or possession of a DOH Specialist Cardiologist License .
Relevant post-qualification clinical experience as per DOH Professional Qualification Requirements.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
