Coordinate and supervise MEP installation activities at project sites.
Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, equipment schedules, and technical requirements.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, and other MEP systems as applicable.
Review MEP shop drawings, design calculations, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
Ensure MEP installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, and other engineering teams to resolve technical interfaces and avoid clashes.
Participate in BIM coordination and assist in identifying and resolving MEP clashes before and during site execution.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams on MEP-related technical matters.
Monitor site installation activities and ensure work is progressing according to approved schedules and project requirements.
Inspect installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, pumps, electrical systems, panels, cable trays, plumbing systems, firefighting systems, and associated equipment.
Verify equipment installation, alignment, supports, access, clearances, and connections as per approved drawings and manufacturer recommendations.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, documentation, and closure of NCRs and observations.
Prepare and respond to RFIs, technical queries, site instructions, and design clarifications.
Review vendor drawings, technical data sheets, equipment schedules, and material compliance documents.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of approved MEP materials and equipment.
Monitor material deliveries and verify that materials received at site comply with approved submittals and specifications.
Assist in preparing and maintaining MEP work schedules, progress reports, and installation records.
Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and HSE procedures.
Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems.
Assist in preparing testing and commissioning procedures, checklists, test reports, and performance records.
Coordinate functional testing and integrated system testing where required.
Coordinate with relevant UAE authorities and utility providers for inspections, approvals, testing, and connections as applicable.
Ensure MEP works comply with relevant UAE regulations, authority requirements, project specifications, and applicable international standards.
Assist in identifying technical issues, construction constraints, and potential delays and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
Support the Project Manager/Senior Engineer in monitoring progress, resources, materials, and subcontractor performance.
Ensure proper implementation of HSE requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work procedures, and safe working practices.
Participate in site inspections, snagging, rectification, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, inspection records, and other handover documents.
Provide technical guidance to supervisors and site teams on MEP installation requirements.
Identify opportunities for improving system performance, constructability, energy efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Maintain proper engineering records and ensure all MEP documentation is updated and controlled.
Good knowledge of MEP design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, and BMS systems.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and MEP clash detection.
Knowledge of BIM coordination processes will be an advantage.
Familiarity with UAE MEP codes, authority requirements, and construction practices.
Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
Strong site supervision and subcontractor coordination skills.
Good technical problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
Familiarity with relevant MEP design and engineering software is preferred.
Knowledge of Primavera P6/MS Project will be an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–8 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering, installation, coordination, or construction.
Experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or EPC projects is preferred.
Hands-on experience with MEP installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
Experience working on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be an advantage.
Relevant professional engineering or MEP certifications will be an added advantage.
