Junior Accountant – Building Materials Trading

About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our building materials trading company in Ajman. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of basic accounting principles, be comfortable working with accounting software, and have strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and other accounting transactions.* Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.* Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and related documents.* Follow up on customer outstanding balances and supplier payments.* Perform bank and cash reconciliations.* Assist with VAT-related accounting and documentation.* Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documents.* Assist with monthly closing and preparation of basic financial reports.* Reconcile customer and supplier statements.* Monitor petty cash and daily expenses.* Coordinate with the sales, purchase, and operations teams regarding accounting transactions.* Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, building materials, or a similar industry.* Hands-on experience with Sage Accounting is preferred.* Good knowledge of UAE VAT and basic accounting principles.* Good command of MS Excel.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Good communication and organizational skills.* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.* Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.

* Experience handling inventory and stock-related accounting.* Experience with customer and supplier reconciliations.* Knowledge of trading company accounting processes.* Experience with UAE VAT documentation and filing support.
