Job Description The Senior Technician – Elevator & Escalator Maintenance is responsible forperforming advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, andmodernization tasks on various vertical transportation systems. This roleensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of elevators and escalators incompliance with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and localregulatory requirements.????️ Key Responsibilities· Preventive Maintenance — Conductscheduled maintenance for elevators and escalators, ensuring optimalperformance and safety.· Troubleshooting & Diagnostics— Identify mechanical, electrical, and control system faults using diagnostictools and technical manuals.· Repair & Replacement — Performcorrective repairs, component replacements, and adjustments to motors,controllers, door systems, brakes, and safety circuits.· Safety Compliance — Ensure allwork complies with UAE safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, andsite HSE requirements.· Modernization Support — Assist in upgrading outdatedsystems, including controllers, drives, and mechanical assemblies.· Emergency Response — Respond tobreakdowns, entrapments, and urgent service calls promptly and professionally.· Documentation & Reporting —Maintain accurate service logs, checklists, and technical reports for clientsubmission.· Team Leadership — Guide junior technicians, provide on‑site training, and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures.· Client Coordination — Communicate findings, recommendations, and work progress to clients and supervisors.· Tools & Equipment Handling — Use specialized tools, testing devices, and PPE safely and effectively.???? Job Requirements· Technical Qualification —Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.· Experience — Minimum 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in elevatorand escalator maintenance.· System Knowledge — Strongknowledge of major brands (KONE, OTIS, Schindler, Thyssen Krupp, Mitsubishi).· Electrical Skills — Ability to read wiring diagrams,troubleshoot control circuits, and work with VFDs and PLCs.· Mechanical Skills — Expertise intraction systems, hydraulic systems, door operators, and safety gear.· Safety Certification — HSEtraining, rescue operation certification, and knowledge of local regulations.· Physical Fitness — Ability to workat heights, in shafts, and in physically demanding environments.· Communication Skills — Strong reporting, documentation, and client‑interaction skills.· Problem‑Solving — Ability to diagnose complex faults independently.· Driving License — Valid UAE driving license preferred.
