Job Title: Senior Bid and Tender Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
The Client
The client is a global operational and training organization, providing security initiatives and solutions such as crisis management, international policing and control operations to name a few, with office based in the UAE and other international offices.
The Role
The Senior Bid and Tender Manager will identify business opportunities that align with the company’s Business Strategy. Will be responsible for developing appropriate relationships with external parties to help develop opportunities, secure work by value and type to meet the company’s objectives and work with the Strategy and Relationships Director to develop customer solutions and prepare responses. The role will also involve overseeing all quality, technical and commercial aspects in accordance with procedures, developing “best practice” systems and processes and implementing them. Responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process. Responsible for setting up all structures and processes of the bid office.

Areas of Responsibility
Design, development and implementation of the company’s bid process and tender repository

To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities

· Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from qualified subject matter experts

Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer

Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process

End to End preparation and written a winning response - both in terms of content and presentation

Manage the bid budget

Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids

Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract award


Skills Required
Proven capability in delivering complex services opportunities

At least 5-7 years experience in the same role with background in bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery

Sound commercial understanding, P&L;and risk management skills.

Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities

Obtaining proposal management experience

Demonstrating previous exposure to contracts and an understanding of basic contract language

Providing proven leadership and management experience

Having extensive sales experience

Possessing experience interacting with executive-level staff

Experience securing large contracts

Industry-specific knowledge and background (Defense and/or Security)
