Fitout Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitout Manager to join our team. As a Fitout Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of fitout projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project stakeholders, including architects, designers, contractors, and clients, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of fitout projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed plans and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and regulatory approvals.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including contractors and subcontractors.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge in Finishes and Insulation
  • Ensure that finishes and insulation materials meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers and suppliers to select appropriate finishes and insulation materials that meet aesthetic, performance, and budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee installation of finishes and insulation to ensure proper application techniques and quality workmanship.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify that finishes and insulation meet project standards and industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans for fitout projects.
  • Establish quality standards and procedures and ensure they are communicated and adhered to by project team members.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality issues and improve project outcomes.
  • Document and report quality performance metrics and trends to project stakeholders.
  • Inspecting Off-site Fabrication:
  • Coordinate with off-site fabrication facilities to ensure timely production and delivery of prefabricated components.
  • Conduct inspections of off-site fabrication processes or material yards to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Verify the quality of prefabricated components before delivery to the project site.
  • Collaborate with project team members to coordinate the integration of prefabricated components into on-site construction activities.
  • Monitor and track the progress of off-site fabrication activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.


Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing fitout projects, preferably in commercial or retail environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
  • Experience working with sustainable building practices and LEED certification.
