Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytime, outdoor play, and educational games.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Supervise children during mealtimes, ensuring they receive nutritious snacks and meals according to dietary guidelines and allergy restrictions.
Assist with diapering, toileting, and personal hygiene routines, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the facility.
Observe and document children’s behavior, progress, and milestones, and communicate observations to parents and supervisors as needed.
Implement daily routines and schedules to provide structure and consistency for children, promoting a sense of security and predictability.
Respond to children’s emotional needs with empathy and understanding, offering comfort and support during times of distress or transition.
Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid and emergency procedures, and maintain a clean and organized environment at all times.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional education or certification in early childhood education or child development preferred.
Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is desirable but not required; we welcome candidates with a passion for childcare and a willingness to learn.
Genuine love for children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and nurturing relationships.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs and dynamics of a childcare environment.
Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
Physical stamina and energy to engage actively with children, participate in outdoor play, and perform light lifting and bending as needed.
Certification in CPR and first aid, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
Positive attitude, reliability, and dedication to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
