Our client is a leading solar PV developer and EPC, specializing in commercial and industrial solar projects. They are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed engineering design workstreams and manage other design engineers/draftsmen
- Supervise the production of high-quality detailed design drawings (electrical, mechanical, and civil), including reviewing and providing detailed feedback on draft deliverables
- Perform and check all required electrical engineering calculations, including sizing of PV systems, ESS, inverters, switchgear, cables, and strings
- Evaluate different technology, component, and supplier options
- Ensure designs are compliant with relevant regulations, standards, and codes
- Optimize designs for performance, cost, and constructability
- Develop and maintain internal design styles, standards, and templates
- Build and develop supplier relationships
- Provide technical support to business development, installation, and O&M teams
Skills
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of solar PV design experience at the C&I scale, ideally including some hybrid/ESS systems
- 8+ years of experience in relevant industries
- Degree in electrical/power systems engineering
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering to high standards
- Expert knowledge of core software packages such as AutoCAD and PVsyst
- Good existing knowledge of industry best practice and international standards
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Advantages:
