Project & Construction Manager

General Description Of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the works throughout the construction process including final handover.
  • Monitor the performance of the Supervision Consultant and Contractor/s deliverables.
  • Prepare and/or verify the reported progress in the various status reports with regard to engineering and construction related activities.
  • Monitor and drive the technical submittal and approval process.
  • Identify improvements that can be achieved with regard to sequencing and progress on the project by all parties during construction and handing over.
  • Monitor Inspection process and identify improvements where possible.
  • Monitor QHSE performance and identify and address deviations of performance.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Project manager and/or Project Director.


Skills

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of project/site related experience, preferably including complex construction projects and knowledge in dealing with local authorities in Abu Dhabi.
  • Preferably, experience dealing with a signature Architect. Dealing with first tier Contracting organizations essential.
  • Have a proven track record as a Site related Manager on build projects and delivery.
  • Management of Inspections, Mock-ups, Prototypes, samples and quality benchmarking.
  • Progressive verification of the works to Contract specifications, Drawings and approved mock-ups.
  • Management of construction submittal and RFI review and responses process.
  • Review Main Contractors reports (daily / weekly/ monthly), technical and progress.
  • Proposing methods of construction to support the Main contractor.
  • Familiar will local authority's requirements and procedures.
