Mechanical Engineer

Design and Development:

  • Create detailed designs of mechanical systems or components using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to ensure designs meet functional requirements and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical components into larger systems.

Analysis and Testing:

  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct testing and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and performance criteria.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical components and propose solutions.
  1. Materials and Manufacturing:
  • Select appropriate materials for mechanical components based on their properties and application requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs can be efficiently and cost-effectively produced.
  • Provide guidance on manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.

Project Management:

  • Manage and coordinate projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to achieve project goals.

Documentation:

  • Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and others, to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to convey technical information and project updates.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in design processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.

Problem Solving:

  • Analyze problems and propose effective and innovative solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical systems and recommend corrective actions.

Safety:

  • Prioritize safety in design and manufacturing processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of mechanical systems.


Skills

  • Prior work exposure in handling mechanical engineering projects.
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools.
  • Minimum graduate degree holder in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Adept at understanding the utility of international, national, and local standards to promote ease in interchangeability.
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge.
  • Passionate problem solver with a keen interest in utilizing appropriate technical knowledge.
