Role and Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Monitor network performance, traffic, and security incidents, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime, mitigate risks, and address vulnerabilities.
Configure and manage network devices, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), to support business operations and connectivity requirements.
Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore service and minimize impact on users and operations.
Perform network upgrades, patches, and installations, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to minimize disruptions and ensure compatibility and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Implement and enforce network security policies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of network infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, IT staff, and other stakeholders on network-related issues, best practices, and procedures.
Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in network administration, participating in professional development activities and training programs to enhance skills and expertise.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Proven experience as a network administrator or network engineer, with a strong technical background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, MPLS, and routing and switching protocols.
Experience with network security technologies and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access controls.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools, such as SNMP, Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and customer service.
Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management principles is a plus.
