Business Development Manager - EV Charging

Overview of the role:

As part of our Charge2Moov expansion strategy, we are seeking a talented and results-driven Business Development / Sales Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our Public Charging Network and forming strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the EV / EV Charging industry.

As the Business Development / Sales Manager for EV Charging, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the EV charging ecosystem. You will be responsible to develop customized proposals addressing B2C and B2B segments, manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and client acquisition to partnership development. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the EV charging market.

 

What you will do:

Public Charging Network Expansion:

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners/ locations for new charging stations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand AF Public Charging Network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of charging infrastructure.
  •  

Partnership Development:

  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, such as developers, utilities, government entities, etc. to explore partnership opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of partnerships.

Customized Fleet Charging Solutions:

  • Develop and implement strategies to cater to the growing demand for EV charging solutions for existing and new fleet customers.
  • Identify and engage potential fleet partners to offer customized charging solutions.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure the incorporation of fleet-specific features and functionalities.
  •  

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead the entire sales process, including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine the sales approach.
  •  

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the EV charging sector.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market intelligence.


Skills

Required Skills to be successful:

  • EV Charing sales / business development experience
  • B2B & B2C experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Good communication skills

About the Team:

This role will be reporting to Sr Manager – EV Charging 

 

What equips you for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in business development and sales within the EV charging or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong network within the EV ecosystem, including utilities, municipalities, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing high-value partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
